- Assist the Center Director in managing day-to-day operations of the childcare center.
- Participate in staff recruitment, training, and development.
- Helps welcome and train new staff
- Conduct tours of MARS ELA, Enrollment process and new family orientation, consult with prospective families to promote the values, culture, and goals of MARS ELA;

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be 18 years of age1 – 2 years of prior experience in related food service positions required
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening including TB Test
Moderate reading and writing skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures and basic computer skills
Have a Washington State Food Handler Permit.
Provide proof of Vaccination
Infant/child CPR and First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens certification
Basic math skills for measuring and portioning
Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervision direction, including appropriate judgment

Position Summary
This AdministrativeAssistant position supports three organizations and is responsible for managingthe schedules and communications of key company executives. Their dutiesinclude prioritizing emails and phone calls, gathering documents to prepare formeetings, accounting, grant writing, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Thisposition includes more than administrative duties. They also filter andprioritize client visits and or phone calls and communicate on behalf of theexecutives they support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Admin Assistant:·
- Providing administrativeassistance, such as writing and editing emails, drafting memos, and preparingcommunications on the executive’s behalf. Assist with the daily operations of the MARS ELA, Rainier Beach Community Resource Center (RBCRC), Northwest Black Pioneers (NWBP), and parent, student, and staff communication
- Assist in the planning for all programs including advertising, community engagementt, Parent education, fundraising, and family events +
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records management
- Performing Tuition Collection and Payment, student attendance, parent communication - Organizing Meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, taking notes, and organizing catering when necessary
- Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner, sorting, and distributing mail, maintaining files Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department
- Managing the executive’s calendar, including making appointments, prioritizing the most sensitive matters, maintaining event calendar
- Attending ongoing Professional Development Courses and Trainings
- Maintaining Newsletter, Website, and all Social Media Platforms
- Completing banking transactions and carrying out basic bookkeeping
- Keeping inventory of office supplies and ordering supplies and materials
- Participates in interviewing, job applicants and conducts orientation of new employees as needed - Locates and compiles information; formats reports, graphs, tables, records, data and other sources of information
- Assists with special events planning
- Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software, Microsoft 365 and Google suite
- Uses various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics, packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports - - - Exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results impacting staff, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area
- CACFP meal counts and claims processing
Accounting Specialist:·
- Manages all forms of financial accounts within the organizations.·
- Keep accurate records, ensuring that invoices are paidwhen necessary.·
- Maintain accurate records, including legers, journals,receipts, and invoices. ·
- Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
- Experience with office 365, including Excel.
Grant Writer
- Responsible for searching and securing available fundingopportunities by writing grant proposals.·
- Research, draft, and submit proposals to help theorganizations receive grant funding.·
- Possess strong writing. research, and communicationskills.
- Must be able to articulate the organizations goals,vision, and mission.
- Must have a strong work ethic.·
- Must be able to juggle multiple projects, maintain adetailed grant tracking calendar, and organize all material for a grantproposal and or grant application submission.·
- Must be able to multi-task and handle impendingdeadlines.
